If you’re sitting on the fence about listing your Bluffton home for sale, here’s the #1 reason not to wait!
Buyer Demand Continues to Outpace the Supply of Homes for Sale.
According to the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Foot Traffic Report, there are more buyers in the market right now than any other time in the past three years. How do we know this? Every month, SentriLock, LLC. provides the National Association of Realtors research data on the number of homes shown by Realtors. Lockboxes made by SentriLock, LLC. are used in roughly a third of home showings across the nation. Foot traffic has a strong correlation with future contracts and home sales, so it can be viewed as a peek ahead at sales trends two to three months into the future. Compared to 2014, there has been a significant increase of Foot Traffic this year. See graph below.
The latest existing home sales report shows that there is a 5.2-month supply of homes for sale. A 6-month supply is necessary for a normal market and supply is well below August 2014 numbers.
