History

In 1732 the property was granted by the English Lord Proprietor as a parcel and was noted as “Old Field? Wiggs Bluff, the plantation on the property was burned down in 1781 by the British troops, and was eventually rebuilt and then shelled by Union gunboats. The magnificent Georgian structure that sits on the river was built in 1972 by Robin Carrier and now serves as the community River Club. Crescent Resources purchased the property in 2000 and developed the land as a residential community with respects for it’s deep-rooted Lowcountry history and significance.

Amenities

Oldfield Plantation offers a wide variety of community amenities. A Greg Norman signature golf course, a 20 acre equestrian center, six tennis courts, two swimming pools, a fully equipped fitness center, eight miles of leisure trails and a community general store are just some of the wonderful comforts Oldfield Plantation offers for property owners and their guests.

Activities

While many of the activities that Oldfield residents enjoy are outdoors, this beautifully designed Southern Plantation has numerous indoor activities when Mother Nature does not cooperate.
