Rose Hill Plantation Recreation

Athletics: Golf

Rose Hill Plantation’s Country Club side has three nine-hole golf courses: the East, the West, and the South. The courses were built in 1982 and designed by Gene Hamm. Unfortunately, years past have been rough for Rose Hill Plantation golf, as the golf club’s former owners filed for bankruptcy and the course closed in disrepair in early 2006. Community residents and the Property Owners’ Association resurrected the forlorn links and restored it to playable conditions in 2008. Rose Hill Golf Club is now open for public play.

The Equestrian Center

Rose Hill’s equestrian center is one of the best in the area, and organizes polo matches and horseback expos. The equestrian center hosts the Savannah/Hilton Head Equestrian Exposition in the spring.
